Hi friends, and welcome!!
My name’s Nikki, or “mom” to my littles, wifey to my husband, or ‘hey nurse’ when I am at work
Hi,
Welcome, and thank you for being here. It’s my first post.. on my first blog. And well, I may not be very good at this. I want to share life experiences, to write things down, maybe vent, create space. I hope we can relate on a few things! My family, husband & 2 kids + our dog, live in Fort McMurray. Its in northern alberta, and it’s.. not teeny tiny, but when you move from a big city (like Calgary, AB) it’s small. Calgary is forever my home, but Fort McMurray is my home now too. We grew our family here, bought our first house, even if it was a mistake (haha), and it’s become our community. I’ve created friendships here, that I never knew could exist. I have worked, and trained, in the hospital here in areas I never thought I ever would. Living here has been a blessing and a curse. I miss events in Calgary with family, that I never wanted to miss. But if you’ve ever had kids… and tried to road trip for 8+ hours with newborn-toddler.. Then you know you never want to do it again LOL!
Our family loves camping, and travelling – not recently though, thank you coronavirus.. lately I’m really into cooking and baking. I am not a very good baker, or cooker.. haha.. but I’m trying to learn and make more and more yummy goods. I love my family very much, and with this blog, I am hoping to learn to love myself more.
That’s it for now friends! I’m sure we will continue to get to know each other better! It’s so important to support each other in this life, in this wild world, and I hope I can offer some support by sharing parts of me! Thank you for stopping by & I hope to see you again soon 🙂
Nikki
